ed to be enjoying itself until it

Hallowe'en
Once more the witches rode their
broomstick's, skeletons leered,
ghosts walked and punkin faces
glowed—Hallowe'ens Perhaps the
snow fall somewhat dampened their
.spirits for the town, was decidedly
valet and peaceful compared to
some of the hallowe'en nights we
can recall. The windows of the
main street even lacked their usual
soap decorations. The snhcol bell
however got a good deal of ringing
and the kiddies in various costumes
paid their usual calla, and received
their, .hare of goodies,

church were conducted on Sunday
by the minister, Rev. S. Kerr, the
subject chosen for the morning be-

Thomas W. Bone
There passed' aasdy on October 23,
at his home, 'l'homase W, Bone in
his 73rd year. He 'was" born and
lived all ibis life in Morris town'
ship.
In 1899 be was married to Flor-
ence . May Cochrane: who prede-
ce:l-ed him a year ago, He was a
member of the M'asonib • ledge for
over forty years.
There' are left to mourn his loss,
a daughter Ruby, a Son Cecil and a
half sister, Mile, Thos. Palen of To-
ronto.
The funeral was held from his
late residence, on: Oct. 201.11 at 2 p m,
Services were conducted 1)y Rev.
H. J. Mahoney assisted by the Brus-
sels A,1', & A.M, During the ser-
vice Mr. L, W. Eolemier contributed

Death called another of our pion-
eer citizen, Thursday at 12.30 noon
in the person of Mrs, Maty Gordon
who passed away in her 90th year,
at the home of Mrs, Dark where
she resided since the death of her :
sister two and a half years ago, She
raised her niece the late Annie Mc-
Donald who died in 1118. .Since the
death of her husband William Gor-
don.she lived with her sister Re-
becca and brother William. More
than two and a half years ago at
the death of her sister she went to

resided. She leavers to mourn her
three brothers John •of 'Stratford,
James and Geoge of Manitoba, two
sisters Mms. Charles Fox of Riding

by Lead' Kindly Light. Mrs, 'R. W.
arose of Hamilton. sang, "He wipes
