Stone, was the special preacher. Mr. Stone, who is 011 furlough atter spending 13 years as a missionary, two learn- ing the Japanese language and eleven on the field, told an interest- ing story of his work which :s chiefly among the farmers,. Farms average 31/2 acres, of the crop 60% goes to the landlord and 40% to the itenanit, Consequently the farmer is a very poor gran and one out of fiifty in. Japan are 'Christian, one to two hundred attend church service. The speaker said, the Japanese Christians regret the war with China very much and urged the only way to bring about a permanent Peace was to lead many to the Goslpel of Jesus Christ.
