Lights Out
,Atter having read about various
cities of Europe having "blackouts,'
that is, their street lights' and it
laminated, signs, etc„ extinguished,
because of the possibility ,of air
raids,, it game one a curious creepy
feeling to drive along Brussels
streets at one or two o'clock Mon-
day and Tuesday moaning and find
the street lights out, needless to
say most other lights in the village
hooves were out at that time and in
Spite of bright moonlight it was
noticeably darker than customarilrs.
Ill made a number rate their eyes
and scan *e Sky wondering if we
too may before long live in fear of
death and destruction from the
sky. We are a long way from the
potential battle fleikko but one some-
times feels that mere distance is
sot enough 4heoe days. However
our hydro man, Mr. Campbell, in-
formed us that the reason we had a
"blackout" was because something
was amiss with the time crook,
