The annual Garden Party of Brick
United church was held on Tuesday
evening at the church when a large
number gathered to enjoy the sup.
per provided by the ladies of the
congregation and to listen to the

by four of the young people, a. read-
ing by Jean Johnston; solos by
Jack Reavie of Wingbam, accom-

Six Holidays
For Mail Carriers
A dente arrangement has now
been made in respect to holidays for
rural mail couriers. The six
statutory holidays to he observed
will be Dominion Day, Labor Day,
Thanksgiving, Christmas, New
Year's Day and Good Friday. A
suggestion has been made that rural
mail couriers be paid a Rat rale of
$40 per mile per annum for' their
services, and a bonus of five cents
per mile for equipment allowance
in the colder rougher sections of
the Donunion.
