prise. A horse which had been tied
in a stable while a visit was being
made by the driver, regained free-
dom and travelled away or its own
accord, giving the party concerned
a tiresome walk before the animal
was overtaken.

An event of unusual interest was
celebrated on Friday afternoon at
the hoame of Mr. and Mrs, Nathaniel
Johnston, the occasion being the
59.th anniversary of their marriage.
During the afternoon( and evening

Johnston were married at the home

charged in Goderich Thursday
morning with the murder of her
eightyorour-yearol•d brother, Albert
Fitzpatrick who died in Winghane
Hospital Wednesday afternoon.
The woman was remanded to the
county jail by F. G. Weir, J.P., until
April 0t11. at 2 pen. She was not re-
presanted by counsel.
On or about March 7 last, in his
home, Albert Fitzpatrick received
injuries about the. Bead, shoulders,
rues and legs, inelleted by a club
allegedly in the halide of his sister
Katharine, as he sat In a rocking
chair, asleep,
Shortly after the supper hour on
March 71.11 a ,grocer, .who had called
to see ,how the ald man was getting

brother for twenty-two years in a
modest two-story frame dwelling in
Lower Wingham. Neither had ever
married and they were the sole sur-
vivors if a family of highly reapect-
ed Turnberry township farmers.
