Mrs. George Baeker
The community of Brussels wag
saddened to learn of the passing of
its oldest resident and one of its
most highly respected citizens in the
person of Mrs, George Baeker, who
was called home in her 96th year.
Although inactive, this grand old
lady had enjoyed fairly good health
to within a few weeks of her pass-
ing and had retained her interest in
her family and friends and in the
work of the church which she loved,
Born at Baden, Ont., on August
the 22th; 1850. Rebecca Well came
with her husband from Zurich to
reside in Brussels about seventy
years ago. In 1900 she was bereft
of bey partner in life, the Pate

the passing of a loving mother. They

Cavalier, N, Dakota; Dolly (Mrs.

"Jesus Christ, the same .yesterday,
to -day and forever," He pointed out
that a life lived through three' gen-
erations had seen vast changes and
developments take place in the
world about her. Jesus Christ alone
had not changed and it was the
same .Saviour in whom she had
trusted its, a little girl and to whom
she had given her loyalty throughout
the years who had inspired and
sustained her Faith to the end of
this life. He spoke of her as a good
Mother whose children now, "rise
hp and call her blessed," and of her
devotion to and interest in the work
of the church where she was 'a
life member of the Women's Miss
Minty Soetety and W. 0, T. U., when
it functioned in the community, ;n
conoiusion, ]ie said, "Her lite was
an example to everyone et the
