severe electrical storm al Saturday,
the telephone was torn from the wall
along with a large piece of plaster
at the hems of Arthur Henry. It is
thought that 'the lightning eeme

Returns 'Home From Overseas
The gift any mother would most
appreciate, dear son hone from the
was', brought Mother's Day joy to
Mrs. Charles Lowrie, and the whole
family, when Private Everett C.
Lowrie arrived home unaunonnced
after MO and a half years overseas.
A veteran of the Sicilian cam-
paign, which he carne through with-
out a scratch, he was twice wounded
in Italy at the battle .af 0rtona, He
received a leg wound fleet on Dee.
1.2 'and in January -11, 1941 severe
wounds from high explosive. He
was luospitalizee' in Italy nnbfi
'March 29th when he was moved to
England. ' .
Private Lowrie, who is the twenty -
Tom -year-old San ,of Mr, and Mrs.
Charles Lowr••ie .of Brussels enlisted
in May 1940. He received his
training at London and• Camp
Bowden and' went overseas with, the
Royal Canlaellan Regiment in
November 1941.
Though his arrival was unannounc-
ed many of his blends and ac-
quaintances have called to see him
and welcome him home.

Former Missionary
Dr.
W. D S. Jamiesarn attended
the funeral of his aunt, Miss Marg-
aret Jamieson in Toronto on Tues-
day. Mise Jamieson was a farmer
missionary in India and later was

capacity she visited Brussels and is
still remembered by some of the
