Women's Opinion Of
Meat Tokens
The women are finding meat
tokens a boom to aid in the buying
of meet, according to Mrs, J. a
Detwiler, chairman of the Consumer
Breach for Western Ontario. These
tokens enable small families to bny
seufficient quantities of meat without
feeling they are empeadine too much
or the eminent tor pule:hoses. Mrs.
Detwiler said.
Any woman who fails to make
use of these tokens is only cheating
herself and faintly out of her right-
ful quota of meat She is able to
budget her meat supply ior the week
to the very best advantage, and is
rapidly becoming familiar with the
approximate amounts of pleat she
can obtain for various numbers of
tokens.
There is another advantage to
tokens that makes visiting even with
meat rationing DO embarraseinent
to the guest ,and no trial to the
hostess. When visiting fpr a week-
end now a few tokens can be taken
along ,and left with the hostess. In
this way no one reels forced to give
a full week's coupon for meat being'
eaten while on a week end visit and
yet the visitor will be relieved that
she can in same measure compen-
sate her hostess for using meat from
her own limited rations, Mrs.
wiler pointed out.
Slade= was proceeding west on
the 12th concession, and Simpson
was driving north on a sideroad
when the impact 'occurred,
Provincial Constable John Mc-
Getrick, Listowel, investigated.' .'
