The death of Fannie Emma
Rogers., 'relict of the late A. C.
Daules,, occurred in Mt. Forest at
the -hoine of her sister, Miss Nina
Rogers, where she had been iii fol
the past few months.' A short ser-
vice was held at the home on Friday
'evening hnd the remains brought to
Brussels, the funeral being held on
Saturday afternoon, April the tenth
at St, John's Church.

Mrs, Shore, District, Deputy Presi-
dent, Godertch, was the guest of
Morning Star Morning Locige, on.

captain, administered the degree is
a very capable manner, initiating
two new candidates. At the con-
clusion of .all business lunch was
served by the committee in charge
and a social hour enjoyed.

My 23th trip was a good one we
got shot to pieces over the target
for that night. )While we were in the
searehlights far 10 mine. around 100
of them, I was acting as second Pilot
that trip so I bad plenty to do,
with changing the throttles, etc„

feet of the crew ere comparatively
new at the same eo they look to me
for e bit of instructions. Ws got
back to baso before we got engine
trouble and crashed on the drotne,

A quiet wedding took place at the
United .Church parsonage on Monday
when Rev, W. A, Haines united in
marriage Lillian Eva Laseh, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Laseh,

sel D. Barnard, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Edward Barnard, )3luevale,
The bride wore a floor length gown
of pink embroidered net over satin,
her shoulder -length veil was held
with orange blossoms. Miss Edna
Laseh, sister • of the bride, was the
bridesmaid and Mr. Norman Bar-
nard was his brother's best man.
Following the ceremony a wedding
dinner was served at the home of
the bride's parents. The dining -
room was, decorated with oink and
white carnations, and the bride's
table was centred with the wedding
cake. Later the bride and bride -
mon: spent a honeymoon at Niag
aro. Falls. On Monday next they
wilt leave for an eastern port.

Agricultural War •Conmittes held
in Clinten on April 6th, a motion
was unanimously passed to endorse
the forthcoming Vtotory Loan. .The
meeting went on record that mem-
bers would do all in 'their power to
