The fall term opened here on Sept. 3rd, with three nevi teaa•llers on the staffer Mr. K. Ashton resumes teaching this fall with two grades, seven and eight, iu which !here are thirty pupils. Mdse Ruby Campbell of Toronto is teaching .thirty pupils in grades five and six; Miss Doris Pullman, of Seaforth thirty-five pupils in grades three and four, and Miss Luella Michell, Brussels will have twenty-three pupils, eleven of which are beginners, in grades two and three. Mrs. .1. Wilton will againh have charge of grade nine, Every room has been redecorated with fresh paint and varnish. New' cupboards have been put in the office. Equipment for manual train- ing, complete with work benches, tools have been installed and the course will be in charge of Mr. Ashton. The eleven new beginners in grade one are : Bobby McBride, Jimmy Beggts, Jolhn Currie,. Lenny Adams, Jimmy Garnttss, Soyce Davisbn, Annie Exel, Mary Warwick, Mae Myers, Myrie Wesenburg, and Darid Alcock. Norman Shaw N,.rulali Shaw, sot of Mrs. Shaw and the late Joseph Shaw, of Morris township, died suddenly, an. MR j'iilmenn in Nerauda, Quebec, 00 A lig 11 RI 27111. Mr. N. Shaw, who was in his forty- eighth year, was loin in Grey town- .ip on Fel. 5111. 1904. He received his early schooling in Morris town - eh p and attended Brussels Con- finmatiol School. After graduating Item school he joined the staff of r'+nadian Bank of Commerce a,t Brussels, later going to Port Dal- 1rnu4e. He left the bank in 1927, to n to New Liskeard for I+hP Northern ut Electric Power Company. He was there until five years ago when he was cont by Northern Electric to Noranda. Que. He had been ill and confined to the hospital with a heart condition but had returned to work when word of his sudden dearth came as a shock to his relatives and the many friends here who knew and lent embered hits. He is survived by his mother and one brother, Mac Shaw of Grey township and a sister, Mrs. James Brown ((lertie) of New Liskeard Ilia father, Joseph Shaw, predeceas- bin1 three weeks.
