Muriel Kreuter and Ronnie Cardiff,
visited in Toronto with relatives
and friends during tale Past week,
while there enjoyed a trip to Buffalo,
aboard an American Air lone flag-
ship.
The Ethel Library re -opened on
Saturday, Aug. 15th. While on vac•
ation the Libravlan availed herself
of the opportunity of a conducted
tour thorough the main branch of the
Toronto Public Libraries, and was
espeoially priviledgedi n being shown
the Osborne Collection of books, at
the early periods, some (Yr which
date back to 1600 A. D.. one partic-
ularly interesting• had been a prizes
possession of Florence Nightingale
with her name, in her own hand•
writing at the age of 9 years. Many
of these books have become quite
fragile with the years and their use
ist enetetnded mainly to University
students.

Miss Muriel Kreuter has returned
to her position in Ottawa, after
spending a vacation with her
parents John and Mrs. Kreuter.
On Sunday afternoon many former
Pupils of 'Ethel public school, S. S.
11. mast for a reunion in honor of
Mrs. Harvey Priddtam. Earl Grey.
Sask. 11Trs, Plddhant is the former
Mlle Hemsworth. oldest daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
Hemsworth. She was born in Ethel
and attended school here. going
went in 1917, where she married
Mr, Pridham. formerly of Miteltell.
MT. and Mrs. Pridhem have two
daughters, both married. About 60
friends and old school mates. from
Stratford. Listowel. Molesworth and
Ethel. had a pleasant afternoon re-
calling old school days, singing songs
and :taking group pictures. Lunch
was served, after which Mrs. Prid-
ham was presented with a lace table-
cloth. Tt was deoided to make the
reunion an annual affair. Mrs. John
Ring, Ethel, Mrs, W. Pollard, Strat-
ford. formerly of Ethel. Harvey Dob•
son. Mlle] and Mrs, Robert Bremner
were the flour oldest members
present.
A large gathering of .friends and
neighbours met in the Grey town-
ship hall here to honor Mr, ant Mrs.
David Kerr on their resent marriage
Dancing was enjoyed to the music
of Wilibee's arohestra, At lunch
time the young couple were present-
ed with a well filled purse.
