letter from Wingham announcing
their Easter Thank -Offering with

Visits to sick and shut-ins were
recorded, Mrs, R, OhamneY and I
Mrs, J. Wheeler were named dele- t
gates to Presbyterial in Exeter. A I
committee a Mrs. 1\5onres, Mrs. E,
Anderson and Mrs, G. Martin were
appointed to ant with a committee
from Evening Auxiliary to arrange
Program for C, Cr. T. T. Affiliation
service in May.
Mrs. C. Procter was leader for the
worship period opening with medi-
tation and sinning 9 verses of Hymn
113 and Scripture reading tram
Acts 5: 40.42; 6: 1-8 and Mrs, Moores
led in prayer.
The final chapter of the Study
Book was given in question and
answer. form with the leader being
assisted by Mrs. P. Procter, Mrs, A.
Vincent. Mrs. Wm. Kelly and Mrs.
J. Wheeler. Mrs. Jas. Mich.to rend
the article, "Working for Peace"
from the Missionary Monthly, Fol-
lowing the closing exercises the
hostess served a. dainty hunch and
Marilyn MooreiR entertained with
piano music.
The Young People's Union of Bel -
grave United Church held a supper
meeting, with Rev. David Procter as
guest speaker, Mr. Procter was born
in Korea and lived there until the
age of 12 years, when he came to
Canada. He told of his boyhood
there and explained the Korean
language. I -Ie illulebrated his talk
with minature samples of Korean
clothing, shoes, combs, pictures and
so on,
Miss Doris Gilman, Lonclesbaro,
played violin numbers accompanied
by Elaine Walsh; and Marjorie and
Marlene MacKenzie sang a duet, as-
comPaniel by ;Donna Anderson.i
Other guests, introduced by the
president, Clifford Kelly, included
Benison Stutter and Edwin Mar-
• row, •Clinton, also the cast of the I
play from the past season. Lloyd
Anderson led a short warship
period with Donna Anderson and '
Mildred Cook assisting, Rev. W. J.
Moores assisted with the program
and oloeed the meeting with prayer.
Joseph Yuill, 4th line of Morris
township, has sold his farm to his
nephew, Robert J, Yuill of Tees -
water. Mr. and Mfrs, 3, Yuill will
retire to Belgrave, where they have
bought the home of Mies Edith
Proctor. They will hold an auction
sale of their stock and implements
on A,pri1 12th,
John Albrecht, ,10111 of East Wa•
wanosh, has sold his farm to James
Coultas, also, of East. Warwan,ash, He
will hold a. sale April 19, and will
move with his family to Walkerton,
At the finai meeting of the euchre
club, it was unanimously decided
to continue the Bleb next year. Alvin
Higgins was elected president; Mrs,
Ross Robinson, .secretary; Martin
Grasby and Mrs, Fred Cook, retir-
ing officers, were given a vote of
hh.anks. All proceeds were donated
to the loud speaker fund for the
arena. Winners .at cards for the
night were Mrs, James Wheeler,
Larry Cook, Fred Cook, and Hugh
Cook.
