Mrs, Wm. Cameron and Mrs. Cal-
vin Cameron attended the funeral of
Mr. W. Brown near Galt on Friday.
Mrs, Wm. Cameron is visiting with
friends there.
In responding, 1Tr. Duncan recall-
ed the organization of The Huron
County Old Boys Association of Tor-
onto in ,January 19od. He said that
among the Charter Members were

who later studied law and practiced
in Toronto. The Honourable A. M.
Ross, afterwards Provincial Treas-
urer, Mr. J. T. Gartow. afterwards a
member of Sir. Oliver Mowatt's Cab-
inet and a Justice of the Supreme
Cort of Ontario, Mr, Thrnna.s Gibson,
then M,P,P. for North Huron. Mr.
Edward Moody. then lIditor of the
Clinton News Record, Mr. Thomas
B. Stewart, formerly of Blyth, Mr.
William Pendergast and Mr. Henry
Tientty, both from Sen for th dis-
rtrict. The first President of the
Association was Mr, (later Sir) John
S Willison. then Editor of the
Toronto Globe, and first Vice -Pres- •
Mu and Mrs. John Engel visited
at the home of their nephew, Mac
Engel. •
A bee was held on Thursday after-
noon during whi8h considerable
neeessauy work was accomplished.
Men are at work on the new Com-
munity Centre these days.
During the electrical storm on
Friday night lightning entered the
home of .1),Tn•, and Mrs. Stanley Camp-
bell, knocking them both to the
floor. Several fuses were blown out
but no further damage was notice-
able.

and so rich was their heritage that
no words could adequately express
the delat they owed to Huron County.
In responding to this toast Mr. D.
Douglas Wilson, in the absence
of the Warden, Mr. Cecil Johnson,
referred to the early settlement of
the Huron Tract in the days of the
Canada Land Company, . and the
staunch and hardy stook of pioneers
who cleared the land and settled in
what is now Igjuron County, We said
that although many other County
Associations were formed in Toronto
around the turn of the century, The
Huron County Old Boys Association
of Toronto was the only one which
had survived and was still active.
Others who spoke briefly included
Mr. H. M. Jackson, Mr. R. C. King, I
and Mrs, D, Thompson.
'The Dinner was convened by Mrs.
Doris Parton, the President for 1950,
,and the first woman who has ever
held that position.
