A life long resident of Grey town-
ship, Nelson Hayden, died at the
Ruston Nursing ITome, Mitchell, on
Friday. March 10th, after a lengthy
illness.
The late Mr. Hayden, who was
born in Howlek Township on Jniy 4,

five years and had been a resident

Iowa predeceased him thirty-five
years ago. He is also by his two
brothers. Oliver of Wingham and
,Tohn, Cerci, Sask., and a sister, Mrs.
Sadie Mills, Fergus, Three brothers
and two sisters predeceased hint.
There are eighteen grandchildren and
five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from
the home of his son Fred, Lot 41. Con.
1, Grey township on Monday, March

Peter S. MacElwan, 37, a life-long
resilient of Turlrberry township, dried
Tuesday night in the Wingh•aan Gen-
eral Hospital, following a lengthy
illness. Mut MncH.lwan, who was horn
in Turnberry township, took a keen
interest in municipal affairs, being
a eonnr110ol• for several years. He
w^as a Liberal in politics and held
offices in the North Huron Liberal
Association at different times.

by his wife, the former Miss

Church, The funeral message was
delivered by Rev, C. TT, MacDonald,
D. D.. minister of the ,church. The
