Mail Courier Dies
Of Heart Attack
After hawing served) the last mail
box. on his mall route, R.R. 3, Walton, ,
Sohn A. Marshall, suffered' a heart
attack at the wheel a his' ear and
died before help.could be summoned.
Mr. Marshall, mail courier in the
district 15 years, had just finished
Putting mail into the box at Cliff ,
Ritchie's, east of Walton, when he
felt the attack coming on. He had
the Presence of mind to turn off
the ignition of his. car, and place
it out of gear.
Mrs; Harold Smalitlon, Walton. ' a
passenger in the car at the time
seeing him in distress, summoned
help.
A Seaforth doctorpronounced him
dead on arrival.
Surviving are his wife, the for-
mer Fila Barrows, Walton; two
sons, Barry and Frank. Toronto;
his mother, Mrs. Thomas Marshall,
Blyth; and' a sister, Mrs, William
Morritt. Blyth.
Hp was a member. of Duff's United
Church, and served on the board
of managers.
Funeral service was held from
Duff's 'United Church, Walton on
Saturday at 3.30 p. m. Rev, R. G.
Hazlewood officiated. Interment
was made in Brussels cemetery.

at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn
Smith, sixth line of Morris on Mon-
day evening in honor of Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Draper on the oc.

The first meeting of the New Year
was held In the church basement. The
new President, Mrs, Earl Anderson,
was in charge and opened with a
hymn and prayer. '
The secretary and treasurer gave
their reports and also their annual
report, The other secretaries also
presented their yearly report.
Rev. W. J. Moores was present for
the installation of the officers for
1960, end also spoke in appreciation
for the work the W, M. S. is doing.
A committee of Mrs. 81, Anderson,
Mrs. 3, Anderson and Mrs, H.
Wheeler was' appointed to help ar-
range for the World Day of Prayer
in February.
Mrs.. J. Wheeler was in charge of
the Study Book Program on "Grow-
ing with the years in health and heal-
ing" and was assisted, by Mrs. Ken.
Wheeler, Mrs, J. Anderson; Mrs. F.
Cook, and Mrs, W. S. Moores.
Mrs, R, Oha.mney gave a Temper•
ante reading. The offering, the
pay . of fees, was received and the

funeral of a cousin, the late Mrs,
