ed communion service at Knox Pres-
byterian Church on Sunday morning,
Four young people were received
by profession of faith and two by
certificate, The ordinance of bap-
tism was observed by the follow-

was the condition, the tragedy and

rigan conducted a musical contest,
bringing to mind titles of many old-

BY-LAW NO. 7th, 1949
WHEREAS it is expedient to fix
by law the rates chargeable for water
00reiee supplied by the Corporation
et the Village of Brussels,
AND WHEREAS for this purpose
it is expedient to pass the following
by-law,
NOW THEREFORE the Munici-
nal Corporation of the Village of
Prnssels enacts as follows;
1. All perdons being supplied with
water, domestic or commercial, by
the Corporation of the Village of
Brussels shall pay for the sante in
accordance with the following
schedule of rates:
Demestic Minimum Rate $15,00 per
Tear net, Phis 86,00 if toilet is eon-
nreterl, Total With three-piece bath -
mom 821.00, Commercial Rate 25c
per 1000 gels,
2. The said rates shall be billed for
by the Cnrnoration at such Periods
and such times as they from time
to time deride and any default of pay -

ted by the Municipal Corporation to

be valid for the particular job ap-
plied for and a similar permit or
the payment of a similar fee will

ed at Casa Loma on Tuesday, even-
ing, November 22nd, for their
annual Atliome. Large number of
Old Boys and their friends assembled
at the "Castle" for this enjoyable
social event.
Guest were received by President
and Mrs. K. C..Stanbury, Vice -Presi-
dent and Mrs, Gordon Fowler, and
Vice -President and Mrs, Robt. Leiper,
Bridge and Euchre held the at-
tention of many guest in the Censer
story. Euchre prize winners were
Mos. M. Irvine, Mr. B. Tones and
DIr, Gardiner. Bridge winners were,
Mrs. E. J. B. Duncan and Dr. Got,
len Ferguson.
The Ballroom was the focal centre
of the evening's entertainment,
