Melville Ladies' Aid met Monday
evening at the manse with nineteen
ladies present. In the absent= of the I
president Mrs. Kerney, the let vice
Mrs. W, Porter presided. The secre-
tary's and treasurer's reports were I
read and approved. The singing of
a hymn and prayer and a prayer
poem by Mrs. Porter opened the
meeting. Items of bu, pegs were
taken up and the committee appoint•
ed to purchase the wreath and haves
it hung under the newly dedicated if
plaque has been done. Others were
asked to oversee necessary work
that cams up during the social hanr.1

immediately begin a spot check of electrical equipment in
homes and commercial establishments in the Brussels district
in connection with the forthcoming Frequency Conversion to
60 cycles,
Personnel making this test inventory will carry credentials.
For their own protection it is suggested that consumers request
that identification be satisfactorily established.
