Hearing a dog barking outside
the barn at the home of her par-
etlts, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Noble,
Wallace Township, Ruth Noble went
to investigate the disturbance. She
saw a small animal running across
t the lawn and up into a tree. The
' girl went to the house, got the rifle
and shot the animal. The first shot
miseed, but the second brought it
down. It proved to be a porcupine.,
The girl marksman is a granddau-
ghter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Inglis,
Atwood. —
