Village Brussels
All persons in the Municipality owning or harboring
dogs must purchase 1949 License for same on or
before July 15, 1949.
Licenses will be issued from the Treasurer's Office,
or from the Tax Collector, W. H. Bell.
After that date summonses through the court will
be issued to the owners or harborers of dogs not
having licenses.

Big Rally
The Clinton Area Youth for
Christ rally held in Clinton on
Friday night was an excellent suc-
cess, with avery good 'attendance.
The attendance was somewhat
smaller owing to several camp
meetings now in progress.
These taking part in the pro-
gramme were from various denomin-
ations. Rev. Alex Nimo of Wing
ham Presbyterian Church opened
the meeting with prayer, Rev, H. G.
Boadway of the United Missionary
Church led in the song service.
Mrs. Jorgenson of Bluevale played
several numbers on the Chellow and
Miss ,Stron of Goderich gave a
piano solo. These numbers were
very much enjoyed by all in attend-
ance.
The Forwardaires quartette from
Toronto sang several numbers which
included, Over in the Glory and Am
I a soldier of the Cross and others
Rev, Jack •Scott of Toronto
brought the message of the evening.
His subject being True Dectpleship
Showing to us that we must continue
in the faith, having love for one
another which is the fruit of the
spirit. Also that there must be
holiness in personal living, and in
conclusion "If any than will be my
deeiple let hien take up his Cross
and follow me". These are the
words of Jesus. Several expressed
their desire for the prayers of God's
people, These meetings have been
an insti iation and blessing to many.

gentleness, good temper, kindness
anti self control, fruits of the Holy
Spirit. These things should be very
evident in the daily lite of those
newly confirmed, The Bishop's Staff
is a shepherd's staff.. We should all
be ehepheards involved in the great-
est work God has given to man. All
should join in missionary work to
keep peace which hangs on the
slenderest of threads. unless Christ-
ian people clo more than they leave.
All should be builders in the King-
dom of God.
In conclusion the Bishop spoke to
the parents of those confirmed
requeeting them to preach a sermon
without words—give them faithful
example—don't sent, bring them. to
God's hoops and 'steel with them et
the Lord's 'Table, That children'
rejoice to follow in the footsteps of
faithful parents, Tf parents do this

worry about their children.

Plunges 150 Feet
GODERIOH, July 11 — A. 150 -foot
plunge down an embankment near
Benmiller after Ms truck went out
of metro' on a highway curve
today caused extensive bead injuries
to Louis Waxman, 40, of Brussels.
The man is in Alexandra Hospital
here where authorities said his con-
dition was "pretty good."
Police said the man was thrown
clear of the wreckage. The vehicle
was preceeding south on the Mait-
land Concession of Colborne Town-
ship when his brakes failed to
work as he rounded a sharp turn
overlooking a 150 -foot cliff.
The track . crashed through a
gnarl rail and plunged down the
embankment and caught on fire. at Hall -.
Flames destroyed the vehicle.
