Rev. A. Lane. held in the Brussels
United Church on the evening of
June 30.
Rev. A. Lane conducted the ser-
vice in the Ethel United Church on
Sunday evening, July 8, Mr, Lane
will he the pastor for the next year,
in this church. We welcoi�me Mr,
Lane and his wife and faintry to our
church and to our community.
There will be no church service in
the United' Church on July 10. Sun-
day school will be at 11 a.m, on July
10 and on the following Sunders.

We regret to hear of the sudden
ilness of Verne Bowes, We hope he
may have a speedy recovery.

Mrs, L. Bone has returned home
from Detroit where she has spent
the last five weeks with his daugh-
ter, Mrs. Wm, McMichael and family..
While there she atended a mother
and daughter banquet with her
granddaughter, Mrs. Walter Cross-
man where she also won first prize
for the aldese grandmother, it being
a beautiful orchid corsage. Her
granddaughter and husband Mr. and
Mrs. Rex Richardson aocompanied
her home and spent the holiday with
friends.
