The Women's Institute held their
regular meting last .Thursday after-
noon at the home of Mrs. Weliie
Kranter with an attendance of 20.
The president, Mrs. A, B. Lounsbury
was in charge of the meeting. After
the usual opening exercises. The
singing of the Institute Ode and re-
peating the institute Creed. The Ro11
was called answered by giving a
news item of 50 years ago. The
1010110es of the last • meeting were
read and approved, Mrs. Wardlaw
read the motto prepared by Mrs.
Golden who was unable to be
present. Subject (anytime is a good
time to start carrying out a good
idea) Mrs, James Pearson gave the
report of the District Annual meet-
ing which was recently held at
11'o'dwieh, -Fleshless was token np
and plans made for supervising the
children's playground during the
hnlidny season.
Mrs. Lnnnsbery and Mrs. Richards
gave very spenddd reports of the
Officers Conference which they at-
tended at Guelph. Both reports
were very interesting and instruc-
tive, A sing song was enloyed, The
sleeting closed with singing the
National Anthem, Mrs, Stan, Speir-
a11 favored with several Piano solos
while 11111011 was being' prepared. The
committee, Mrs. Hartley and Mrs.
Menzie asisted by the hostess served
a delicious lunch.
The monthly meeting of the
S. of the Presbyterian Church was
held at the hone of Mrs. McInnis
with twenty-two ladies present. The
President opened the meeting end
Mrs. Turnbull read the scripture.
The prayer from the Glad Tidings
was given by the ladies and all
repeaters the Lord's .Prayer and
sang the National Anthem, Roll Call
was answered by a verse containing
the word dnesence. Next month the
word is to be throne. After the bene,
diction, by Mrs. McTnnIe, Mrs,

Hymn 560 was sung and Mrs, Heath

As the orchestra played, the set,

Mesdames: I1. Thomas and A. Gregg,

were received and placed on the
altar by Misses Luella Mitchell and
Ruth Wilson,
.A. children's choir led in the
ministry of praise 'and sang a
number of choruses. Readings were
given by Mr. Lawrie Cousins and by
Misses Madalon Ryan and isohel
Dennis, The Scripture was recited
by live boys, John Hoover, John
Stiles, Teddy Stiles, Donlyn Beni.

The Tinned Church orchestra was
greatly appreciated. Mr. Donald
Dunbar presided at the organ.
At the evening service the minister

cellent voice.
