Mr. Win. Gillespie received the
sad news Tuesday, of the sudden
death of his youngest sister Mrs. J.
R. Miller of Toronto. The late Mrs,
Miller who was in Brussels recently
when she attended the funeral tf the
late Mrs. Gillespie. suffered a heart
at tack.
Dr. Turner, Tngersoll, conducted
the service in Knox Church on Sun-
day last and will also he In charge of
the service next Sunday, Feb. 6.
Mrs. Rohr. Campbell is recuperat-
ing at the home of her sen,' Stanley
! end Mrs, Campbell, returning from
the hospital at Winghant on Friday
last.

Mrs. John Valiance
ATWOOD, Feb. 1.—The i'ueeral
of Mrs. John Vallance, who died
suddenly in her 81st year, was
held Friday afternoon from her
home on Main st, here. Rev. H.
A. Pritchard of Atwood Presbyter -
Ian Church had charge of the
private service, assiste3 by Rev
G. T. Simpson of Atwoo.l United
Church. The pallbearers were two
nephews, Grosert Inglis earl Jim
Duncan, and four grandsons, Bill
Vallance, Donald Vallance, Jim
Vallance and Tom Anderson. Bur-
ial. was in Esme Centre cemetery.

son, has left to enter training .it the

School, Prior to her departure, the

the Glad Tidings. The first
chapter of the Study Book "Enter
China" was token up. Mia. Richards
sang e. solo. Tice meeting closed
with prayer and lunch was served.
