the immediate relatives at the home

For a motor trip through Northern
and Eastern Ontario the bride chose
a navy suit. The young couple will

T. P. O'Malley of Teeswater, win-

a repeat winner, like Lorne Bal-
lanityne. He plowed in the South
Huronmatch on Thursday, and
took linst prize in the class for
plows turing furrows, not less than
12 inches. Friday he plowed in. the
same class at the. North Huron
match and came first again.
Seaforth defeated Goderich in an
inter -school team plowng match,
and won a special 225 cash prize
offered by an automobile associ-
ation. Seafonth's winning team con-
sisted of Neil McGavin and Donald
Dodds.; the Goderich Collegiate In-
stitute wall represented by John
Buchanan and Don Chisholm. In a
junior high school class,' the only
entrants were two boys from Seas
forth Collegiate Institute; they
were scored individually, In. the
absence of team competition for
the juniors, with Andrew Patrick,
Walton, placing first in the class,
and John Tremeer, Kippen, second.
The match was fudged by Frank
Bell, Stratford, who had else judged
the South Huron matoh the pre-
vious day. Arrangements were ie

Eckert, Seaforth, as vice-president.

FRIENDSHIP CIRCLE
The regular monthly meeting of
the Friends. ip circle was held in
the church parlour on Wed. Oct. 6,
with a good attendance present.
The meeting opened with the
theme "Blest be the tie that binds"
followed by The Lord's Prayer in un -
sloe. 'Bba minutes of the last meet -
Ing were read and adopted. The trea-
surer's report was given.
Roll cell was answered by. a
Thanksgiving verse, Plans were
made to invite Blyth group to the
next meting. A hymn was sung and
Mrs. L. Lake read the scripture and
Mrs. A Smith led in prayer, Mrs. P.
Cousins rendered a delightful solo.
A chapter on the study book -dealing
with the spread of the Gospel in Af-
rica- was given by Mrs. I. Evans. The
meeting closed with the singing of
"Come Ye Thankful People Come".
Lunch was served by the hostesses,
Mrs. P. Cousins, Mrs. McTaggart
and Mrs S. Stephenson.
