hostess at her home on the 14th of
Grey, to old friends and neighbours,
in honor of Mrs. Charles Armstrong,
who lately moved into town. Dur-

The September meeting of Mon-
crieff W. I. was held on Wed. even-
ing, Sept. 15th, when the member,.
of Brussels and Ethel W. I. were
guests. The meeting opened with
the singing of the Opening Ode and
Mary Stuart'Coliect, and the Lord's
Praryer repeated in unison. The
minutes were read and approved.
The committee appointed to look
after the woolens reported there was
enough for 8 blankets. It is request-
ed that all the members have their
knitted squares turned in by the
next meeting, Moncrietf will have
ala exhibit at Brussels Fall Fair. An
invitation was -accepted to attend
the W. I. Monitton meeting to be
held an Oct 1,4121 in 6.0.0,8'., e, t
8.30 p• m. Delegates were appoint-
ed to the Gueph convention oa Oct.
7th and 8t1. Mats. Serg McNaught
took charge of the meeting. The
theme was on Canadian Industries.
The roll call was "A. product made
from a Canadian Tree" which was
