ORATORICAL CONTEST
In the Crystal Palace on
Thursday, September 30th at 8 p. m.
Two Oratorical contests, open to pupils of grades 7 and 8, 'wit
be sponsored by the M. W, L and will be held in the Crystal Palace On
the evening of the first day of the Fail Fair (Sept. 30th.) commencing
at 8.00 p.m.
,The prizes offered for each contest are lat. $3,00, 2nd• $2.00,
and 3rd. $1.00.
The firth contest is a prepared speech on one of the following
subjects:
(1) Something new 1 have learned about Canada.
(2) Why I am proud to be a farm boy or girl,
(3) A camping expedition.
The Second Contest is an Impromptu Speech (not prepared)
the subject to be disclosed a few minutes prior to the time of making
the speech.
