THE UNITED CHURCH
In the United Church on Sunaay,
Aug' 8, the theme of the address
was, "The compassion of Jesus,",
based on Mattheav 8:117. "HimShcf
took our infirmities and bore our
sioknesses." Just as Jesus entered
sympathetically into the Joys and
sorrows of men so his followers are
called upon to be compassionate in
their daily living — such Was the
burden of the message.
Mrs. Melville Dennis, and Isobel
sang the duet, "In The Garden
With Jesus" by B. Gilmore and E,
Lorenz.
