as well as religious work being done
there, and the meeting closed -with

Some sections of the County es-
caped without rain Ibis week and
considerable haying was clone in
these areas. Approximately 28 per
cent of the haying Ilms been com-
pleted in ,the County and the hay
crop will be an average yield. .8.11
crops are making good growth. Fall
wheat is commencing no turn color
and most of the spring grain is now
out in head. Cultivated crops snob
vas corn, sugar beeps, white beans
and soybeans are making exception
al growth.

Hieuins Reunion
A dtappY gathering took place to
Seaforth Lions Park on Saturday,
July 3rd, when members of the
Higgins families gathered togeth-
er ones more, This, is an annual
event and many friends enjoy the
happY Priviledge of being together.

ter, Gorrie, Wingbatn, Blyth, Lon.

Frank Graham, Ronnie Higgins of
Wroxeter and Mr• and Mrs. Joseph
Higgins, Mitohyell. The friends were
all very happy to welcome one of
the older members, Mr. Richard
Rann of Brussels. formerly Of Wrox-
eter wImo has not been in good
health for some time but was able
to attend with his son Allcin. Being
the oldest 'member present he re-
ceived the prize. The youngest
member present receiving the
prize was Bonnie Lynne Pletch,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom
Match, Brussels. The most recent
ly married coumle prize went to
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Higgins, Brus-
sels. Everyone sat down to a bount-
ifu1 lune], provided by the ladies.
One minute sl1'ence was held in
memory of Mrs. Vernon Higgins
and William Rann who have passed
away since our last reunion. Mr.
Edgar Higgins of Brussels, Prelsi-
dent for 1954, presided over the
' business pant and officers were
elected for 1955. Mr. Gordon Hig-
gins of Brussels was elected Prete-
dent for 1055 and Mrs. Gordon Walk
1 era Wingham, Sec.-Treas. It was
decided to held the reunion nest
year July 2nd 071 the same grounds.
