stolen last week from his driveway,
has had his car recovered by Ontario
Provipcial Police in the township '
on East Wawanosh, about ten miles
from its farm, none the worse of the'

mittee is to canvass all ratepayers

The membership committee report

friend and cousin of Mr. Felton, sug-
gested that this attractive, colorful
basement is e memorial to Mr. Ful-
ton and wished them .every bappi-

venture.

Brussels daring,his three short
years as their minister. He Spoke
of his happy settlement: here, where
he had .never known more co-

of managers. He recalled nostalgic-
ally his home in Ireland, his period
of getting used to Canadian cue,
toms, and felt tbat all this training
and experience will be of account
in his new field in Kitimat, B. C

arrival he had seen the beauty of
the church and pressed for im-
provements which would show it

taken by the Young Women's Guild
and include new built-in cupboards

steel sink, and the color scheme is
buttercup yellow. A harmonizing
gray tile floor is still to be nom-

Library on Friday afternoon, with
Miss Jeanne Armour, of the Women's
Inst;litute branch and home economics
service staff as the .guest svelter.
Her 'topic, . "Treasures in ,Your
Attic," proved most interesting
and instructive' The speaker es-
pressed some regret thalt Canadians
had been careless about collecting
and keeping information on early
Canadian furniture. .
Tracing the influences that have
waited upon the styles, of furniture
she mentioned three — French, Eng-
lislh, and United Empire Loyalist —
and decribed the main charaeterle-'
tics of each style..
After her talk, Miss Armour pass-
ed a questtdonnaire to each person
to seehow her information had been
digetsted.
Responding to an invitation to
bring any treasured antiques, mem-
bers bad brought an interesting
collection of articles, — picture
frames, trays. perfumes containers.
a knitted bedspread, and a silver
cruet with glass containers. In-
teresting stories of their history
Were told by their owners.
Members of Moncrieff and Oran -
brook W. I, branches had been in-
vited to the meeting and Mrs. Clem
Huetiner and Mrs. M. E. Baillie
expressd their pleasure at being
present, on behalf of their groups.
A donation of 925 was voted to the
women's derision of the Fall Fair

Bruce Edgar, son of Mrs. et Edgar,
is in Victoria Hospital, London, rec-
overing from injuries received in a
car accident on Sunday. He was re•
moved to Victoria from the Palmer'
sten Hospital, when ex -rays following
the accident revealed two had breaks
in the shoulder.
Mrs. W. J, Walker, who Iivect her
early life in Brussels and Seeforth
will relebrate her 9Oth. birthday on
