was buried here on Tuesday after-
noon. Four months ago ene fell and
broke her hip, and had been COn-
• filled to hospital. since, Before that

health and deopite falling eyesight,
was deeply interested in the affaire
of family and friends, Formerly
Mary Jane Cole. she Was born In
Kiebtern. the daughter of William
and 'Elizabeth Simpson Cole. In
1858 she married Mr, Stephenaen,
and they lived on farms in Morals
end Celle townships, and also in
Tonnesboro. Mr. Stephenson died
in 1914, There ere five children
eurviving: William, Fred and Wes-
ley. Bruesels; Mre, Welland (Elva)
1410DOnald, Con, 9, Grey township;
land Mils, Andrew (Gertie) Jack,
Brueeels, with whom she had
lived for eome years, They adopted
as a daughter, Emma Dalton
'Stephenson, now Mrs. William
Pawson, Brussels; and elm rated
two brothers, William and Elijah
Posse. Two Meters, Mrs. Adam
(Sarah) Glatier, Hensel], and Mrs.
Thomas (Bertha) Pollard, Kin -
burn, said one brother, Alfred Cole,
Pine River, also survine. There are
22 grandchildren, 55 great grand-
children, and two great great
grandchildren. She was a devoted
member of 13rnssels United Church.
A. funeral service was conducted
on Tuesday at the (home of Mr. and
Mrs. Andrew lacklin by Rev. Am
drew Lane, Pallbearers were Har-
vey Stenben•son, Lorna and Melvin
Sac -kiln, Gordon, William and Mao
Stephenson. Flower - bearers were
Norman and Ross Stephenson. and
Lloyd Machan. Burial was made in
Rruseele cemetery.
THE UNITED CHURCH -
On Sunday. April llth, the minist-
er spoke on, "The Triumphal Entry"
end explained the hymn, "All glory,
laud and honor", one of the great
hymns composed for use on Palm
Sunday, The anthem for day was
