A. of Union United Ohureh held their Christmas meeting at the home of Mrs. Leslie Lake Dec. 12, Mrs. Jack Cox, presided, and was as- sisted by Mrs. Leslie McKay who read about "The wonder of Christ- mas, the sayings of Christmas, and the giving at Christmas."- Four familiar carols were sung accompan led on the piano by, Mrs. Herman Whitfield. Mrs. Jack Oox read two Christmas stories. "What does Christmas mean to you", and "Patting Christ into Christmas." , The roll was an exchange of Christ- mas gifts. It was decided to re- member the shut-ins, of the commun. ity. Mrs. James Bremner took charge of the election of officers, but all the former officers were re- turned for bath societies. Mrs. Leslie Lake presided for the W. A. Mrs. R. W. Whitfield read the Treas. report which showed a balance of $401.27. A motion was made that Mrs. Whitfield. and Mrs. Harold Keys see about an electric e+tove for the church kitchen. There was a discussion on a new floor for the basement, but it was shelved until the annual congregational meeting. The meeting closed with hymn 51 and the Mlzpah benedict• fin.
