Walkerton was elected president of
the W. 0. A. A. for the next two
Years at the annual meeting of tate
Western Ontario Athletic Aseoollat-
ion here last Wednesday night.

far away as Strathroy in the south
and Wiarton in the north attend-

minutes of the last meeting.

Treasurer A. J. Loelieridge, • Wing -
ham, stated the organization had
just completed a successful year
with receipts up over $300 more
than last year, The report. showed
toatl receipt at $12,744.54 and a
balance on band to rate of $3,864,25.
The W. 0. A. A„ as in previous years
went on record to affiliate with the
0.H,A, and 0.M.H.A. and adopt
their playing rules 100 per ent,

"C." "D."[and "E," series, the latter
being a new series added for en.

The meeting set the deadline for

James Eccles, Brampton, Ont., first tractor plowing champion of the world,
who won his crown at the world plowing match, Cobourg, Ont., October
8 and 9. He defeated plowmen from ten other countries and Robert Timbers
of Stouffville, Ont., Ontario and Canadian champion. Timbers placed third
in the world match. Eccles, winner of the world trophy, the Esso Golden
Plow., and Timbers will also compete in the second world match in Europe
next fall. They will travel as guests of Imperial Oil.

In a setting of Desch and whine
gladioli August 20th, Rev. Wm. Mc-
Roberts, at Cooke's Presbyterian
Church, Toronto, officiated at the
marriage of Miss Isobel Juue Fer-
guson, daughter of Mr, and Mrs.
William Nish Ferguson, of Minn.

of the groom, was best man, and
another brother, Mr. Julian Free-

ushers. Before the ceremony, Mr.
Julian Ritchie sang, "0 1!'aI0ter All
Creating" and during the signing

Moulton College. Mrs. Ferguson

Freeman wore a navy and white

After a motor trip to Michigan,
Illinois, and around Lake Huron,
Mr. and Mrs. Freeman will live fn
