Roy Ward Dickson, who will be
bringing this huge full -evening pro-
gram to this district under the
sponsorship of the Kinsmen Club of
Wingham, 'says he's fast becoming
the biggest family man in Canada.
O.n every personal appearance show
he's done, in six year's of touring
Canada — over 200 shows — a couple
has become engaged. Dickson pro-
vides the diamond, and the lucky
couple wins it. the hard way, par-
tictpating in the madcap shenani-
gans.
Roy says that often, the next
Year, they are likely to come along
happily married, and the following
year leaves a baby-sitter at home to
let them get down to the "Fun Par-
ade" again. and tell him how well it
has all worked out. Yes, and Roy
says sotmetimes they've even named
the baby after him. He's had at
least a snore of wedding invitations
from his happy victims.
Think we're kidding? See for
yourself. at the Wingham Arena
on Friday, May 16th. There will of
course, be thousands of dollars'
worth of other prizes, all to be won
by the luck folks who got their tic-
kets early and took no chance on
missing the fun -show of the year,
"I get a lot of names thrown at
me" saYs Roy, "But TWO of e'm
