MELVILLE CHURCH
On Sunday morning Rev. W. H.
T. Fulton took as his sermon sub-
ject, "The Church". Communism end
many other social systems that man
has built will pass aw,ayt but the
church of Christ will not pass away.
Belt^std the Ohuroh is the ever living
personality of Christ. The Bible
does not argue, it declares. "Jests
Christ the same yesterday and to-
day and for ever." ,Jesus said "on this
roek I will build my church, and the
gates of hell shall not prevail against
IL" Martin Luther declared that
the 9011h Psalm shows man's status
upon the earth. His is as a tale that
is told. Man's purpose in life is bo
serve God. Two fine chorus an-
thems
nthems were contrbbtyted 11y the
choir, and Louis D. Thompson, or-
ganist, played the Baoh - Conned
"Ava-Marta" during the offertory.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Dear Sir :
In a very law days the citizens of
Brussels will once more be asked
to remember the dead of two World -
Wars by wearing a PoPPy and where
possible by displaying a wreath in
Places of business, churches, schools
and in the homes.
When we display these embiems of
remembrance made by the hands
of disabled veterans who offered
themselves in our. defence, we re-
mind ourselves and our ohildren
of the terrific price that has been .
paid for our freedom. And also
show the world that these heroes
and what they died for shall never
he forgotten by us.
The contributions by the Public
provides employment for disabled
veterans, helps veterans and wid-
ows and orphans of vterans to
obtain their Just recognition in the
forms of pensions and allowances

local Legion Branklh with welfare
funds which are used to assist our
own local veterans or dependants
of veterans in Dur community who ,
are in distressed circumstances.
