Mrs. D. Willis entertained at her
bome on Friday evening in honor of
Miss Donelda Willis, whose marriage

wedding, in which Miss Geraldine
Stretlton played the role of bride,

The Guild and W. A. of St, John's
Church •held, a joint meeting on
Tuesday, Jan, Sib in the Sunday
School room. After'singleg a New
Year's hymn. Mrs. Rev. Kerr, pre-
ident of the W. A.. led the prayers.
The members prayer and the Lord's
Prayer were repeated in unison.
Mrs. G. Davis president of the Guild
read the Scripture lesson from tat,
Corinthians 186h charter, Minutes
of the previous W. A. Meatt0g were
given and the treasurer's report
read. Ten members paid W. A.
feed for 1952 and a voluntary offer-
ing taken. An interesting article on
the origin of "The W. A. of The
Church of England in Canada", was ,
given by Mrs. Kerr, and these
articles wilt be continued through-

named to help plan for the "World
Day of Prayer." Mrs. 0. Davis pre- i
sided for the Guild business, Min-
rtes of the previous Guild meeting
were read by the secretary MTs. I

were collected. Meeting closed with
prayer by the president. Lunch was

away suddenly at his home near
Brussels on Saturday, Dec, 298b,
1951,

Lake and Laura Bosman; he was -
born in Morris Township, on Sept
4th, 1884.
He is survived by his wife, the form-
er Jean Lawrence. four daughter and
one sen; Evelyn of Peterborough,

(Carley) of Guelph, also L I lion now
of St, Joseph's Hospital Guelph and
John residing at home, Also `sur-
viving are two brothers and 'two

Atwood, Mrs, Arthur Henry -of Ethel
and Mrs. Lyle Hopper of D'elgrave.
The funeral service was held
Monday, Dee. 30th, from tlhe tinted
Church, Brussels. Rev. A. Lane
officiated at the service and inter-
ment was in Brussels Cemetery.

Alcock, Sark Bosnian. Earl Cwdmore
and Frank Cardiff.

ing, -Mrs. J. S. Armstrong prodded,
and Mrs. W. Little was - secretary
in the absence of Mrs. Wes, Kerr.
New ways of making money were
discussed, and it was decided to
hold a secret auction at the Feb-
ruary meeting, which will be held
at the home of Mrs, 5. Work,
New collars for the choir gowns
being ,hadly needed, the Laides' Aid
screed to buy the material and Miss
Grace Stewart said she would be
glad to make them.

read letters of thanks .from the
sick and shetense who had been re-
membered.
