W. H. Ferris Dies At
Provost, Alta.

Provost, Alta : W. 10, Ferree, 60,
of Provost, Alta., died suddenly on
September 6th, in an Edmonton
hospital, after an illness of only two
days, from the effects of a homers.

old -liner of the Hoyte' and Provost

`Mr, Ferris, was born at R1yth, Ont.,
in 1580, and came to Western Canada
at the time of the Barr Colonists its
1905 to homestead north of Hayter.
He married In 1909 and was prede-
ceased by his wife in 1920, He again
married in 1921. Mr, and Mrs. Ferris
remained on their far.n north of
H yl'r where they bratght up their
family of 3 boys and 3 girls, and
moved to Provost in 1933 when Mr,
Ferris, with hos son, Fred. acted as
Imperial 011 Led. Agouts, until the
spring or this year, when Mr. Ferris

OBITUARY
Robert J. Henderson
Ed Henderson received the sad
news of the sudden death of his
brother Robert J. Henderson of
Lambeth on Sept. 2Sre.
Funeral service was held Sunday
for Robert J, Henderson, Lambeth
blacksmith, a resident of Liiubeth
for 112 years. A Masonie service was
held from the A. A. McFarlane
6nnerai home, and interment was
a.t Clipperton's cemetery, 5th con.
cesison, Missouri. Pallbearers were
Perce Davidson, Gordon Howell,
'F3nerson Boyd, George G'owanlock,
John Grieve, Robert McDougall
and Vern Joiner. A native of Luck -
now. Mr. Henderson entered the
blacksmith trade as on apprentice
of 13 at Tamesinsm. ITe married
I the former Annie Mahan, of Nis-
sours, A blacksmith tor til years.

St. Andrews Presbyterian Church,
Lindsay, decorated with baskets of
white Gladioli, dephinitim and ferns,
was the setting for the marriage of
Sarah Aileen, daughter of Dr. and
Mrs. Robert George Scott to Mi'. Wel-
lington Neill Gregory, son of Mr. and
Mrs, Edmund Neill Gregory, on
Saturday. September 13th. Rev. D.
McQueen officiated. Mrs. A. F. Palen,
grandmother of the ;room, played
the beautiful wedding music, Mr.
Arthur Deyell was soloist.
The birds, given In marria;,e by
her father, wore an original gown
of petal white embossed crepe fash-
ioned on traditional Princess lines,
The moulded bodice wee fashined
with a deep square neckline and
short cep sleeves and the soft full-
ness of the skirt which swept from
unpresaed pleats- at the waistline,
continued into a short circular train.
A tracery of pearl emboridery cc -
rented the bodice anti matching
pearls -encrusted the neckline and
edged the sleeves. A helmet shaped
crepe cap embroidered with pearls.
lreltl her long double vies of very fine
net. She carried a cascade bouquet of
Pleur d'nlnnlrr, stephanotis an nrchird
and white heather from Scotland.
The matron of honor, orrs. Stewart
Watson, cousin of the bride wore a
frock of baroque, gold crepe. The
bride: maids, Miss . Mary Gregory,
Montreel, sister of the groom,
Dorothy Brown. Claresholnh, Alberta,
and Margaret Beloher, Toronto,
wore emerald green crepe gawne
which were fashioned with moulded
barques, gathered skirts with pep•
lungs which accented the waistlines.
A finely pleated ruching trimmed
the neckline, cap sleeves end pep-
lum. With them were worn match:
(ng crepe nniit.ens and pleated berets
trimmed writ an ostrich tip. They
carried star bouquets of white moons
centred with a rose gladioli.
