A well known resident or - Ethel,
John Wesley Somers. passed awe,
in Kitchener -Waterloo Hospital on
Jan. 16th., 1918.
The later Mr. Somers was ben
at Rosboro, MoKiliiop towtreltip, on
October 74h, 1877. 115 was tbe son
of the late Wm. Somers,
The`deceaased was a. resident of the

He is survived by one son, 'Elwin
Somers .Ethel, twn brothers, Bob
Somers in the west and Samuel

grandchildren and one great grand-

survived by their only child, Evelyn,

two grandsons, Robert and David
Kennedy, also three "brothersand
tele sisters, Anther, Gerrie; Plliiah
of Bright, ,Sarah, (Mrs. J. W.
Flexcher) Britseels, Mae (Mrs. Geo.
Chidlow) Bespelar and 'Herold of
Kitchener.

The work done by the Red Cross
Society in Brussels, since its
formation in 1940, should be a mase
for pride and satisfaction to the
nesidents of this community almost
$27.000.00 having been raised far

for nearly all the time since 1940.
Among the qualities necessary

possessed to a marked degree by Mr.
Bowman who can always he depene-

noon, Jan. 23. Rev. R. G. Hazle-
wood presided and Mrs. P. T. Hol-
man was appointed secretary. After
the devotional exerri=e.- Mr. Hazle-
wood gave the report of the session.
