HomeMy WebLinkAboutThe Brussels Post, 1946-6-5, Page 3taxosetrawmampara THE BRUSSELSPOST Wednesday, June 6th, 1946 FIRST ALL EXPRESS TRANS -ATLANTIC FLIGHT LTISTORY was made in Canadian .1- commercial aviation recently by one of Trans -Canada Air Lines' big, four -engine, Lancastrians when it took off from Montreal airport on a special trans-Atlantic flight to Prest- wick, Scotland, carrying an all ex- press load, no passengers being aboard the plane. It was the first flight of its kind and was arranged to take care of Site large number of shipments that bad been flown to Montreal from as far cast as Halifax and as far west as Vancouver by T.C.A's domestic ser - ice. Space for these shipments was sot evadable on the regular trans- atlantic flights notwithstanding a * scent increase in schedules from tree to four flights weekly.
