night a kindly reception was tendered
Capt (Dr.) E.lwarcd Bryans, who has
been in active service during the past
year overseas. On arrival of the train,
which was very late, he was received by
the Welcome Committee of the Business
Men's Association, lead by M. Black and
Jas, Baliantyee and escorted to the car
of Councillor Walker, where his mother
and sister were in waiting. W. H. Kerr
called upon Rev. (Lieut ) Page for words
of welcome, which were concise, cordial
and most appropriate, recognizing the
good work done by the medical staff in
caring for the boys so splendidly. Al.
though quite taken by surprise Captain
Brvahs briefly responded, modestly
stating had he known there WAS to be
such a reception he would have sought
