of Bternal Life." He also associated
the words of Psalm 72(8 "Ile shall
harie dominion from sea to sea," in
connection with suitable patriotic
references to the 'Jubilee anniversary
of -Confederation. The reverend
gentleman has a pleasing voice, a de-
liberate delivery and his discourses
showed careful preparation. He has
already been busy with pastoral calls
on the sick and ebut-ins and will do
well here we 11,400 ,10 doubt, As he is

Rev. and IVI re. Wren. DEAR
FRIRNIJS.-By the revolving of the
Methodist itinerant wheel we have
come to the close of another Con-
ference term and take this opportunity
of saying a -few things to you that are
in one hearts before you remove from
our midst to a new field of labor.
For the past 4 years sve have profit-
ed much by the ministrations front
the pulpit. While a good preacher in
coming to Brussels we have noted 13110-
(1)111 Iced development in sermonic
ability and Mt. Forest is to be con-
gratulated on securing so excellent a
pulpiteer. •
In the various departments actin -welt
work, whether presiding at the 01.
new Board, addressing the Young
People, visiting in the homes, minist-
ering.to the sick or in social gather-
ings we have found Mr. Wren not
only kindly, genial, tactful and 01311-
mistic but ever ready to do a large
share of work in the advancement of
the best interests of the eause.
As a citizen a lively interest was al-
weys manifested. In patriotic work
Stalwart and on the Public Library
Board attentive and punctual. Broth-
erly with other denominations yet
true to the best traditions of the
Methodist church a healthful influence
has always prevailed.
Much of the credit for possession of
commendable traits of character by
the parson and. making them serve a
useful purpose is due, we believe, to
the Queen of the Parsonage and we
wish to commend the kindly, ladylike
spirit of Mrs. Wren and the wise
course she has followed in her stay
among us.
1.13 10 One pleasure now to ask her to
accept this gold bracelet watch with
our boot love, hoping the timepiece
tuay mark off many happy hours as
she "Ills her post of duty in coming
dais. To Mr. Wren we peesent this
gold headed cane and trust it may
ever remind him of the staff promised
to the heaven -bound pilgrim.
Brussels will hold in feud memory
your 4 year pastorate and will watch
your progress in the time to come
with real delight. "The latch-steing
will be out to both you and the child-
ren, Stewart and Helen, any time you
are able to visit Brussels.
As you leave Wingham District
and London Conference, where you
have spent happy and prosperous
pastorates, you calory, with you the
goodwill and best wishes of the
people.
We

that the presence and
power of the Divine may be yours
