BRUSSELS Bate Ball team drove to Ger- rie last Friday afternoon and played a game with the club of that village in connection with their Celebration. Gorrie won by the close score of 4-3. During the match a Gorrie player was knocked out by being struck on the head by the ball C1vrc Holiday, last Monday was a quiet day in town. A rink of bowlers consisting of D. C. Ross, R. Downing, A Strachan and A. R. Currie motored to Berlin to the Bowling tournament, and a number of other sports took in the horse races at Teeswater. Owing to rain enroute the Mt. HAMILTON DECEASED.—We regret to hear that Alex. M. Hamilton, Gorrie, passed away Tuesday of this weak, at the early age of 43 years. He was a brother to Dr. Hamilton, Brussels. His demise was due to a cold contracted last December while attending a funeral as the undertaker. Mr. Hamilton leaves a wife and 3 children. He was a fine man and highly esteemed by a wide circle of friends who will regret bis early demise and extend sympathy to the bereaved. Funeral takes place Thurs- day afternoon. BRUSSELS HAS THE DISTRICT.—On ac- count of Mt. Forest team defaulting to Brnssels the Tennis District has been captured by our boys who have had a most Successful sEul season,winning z 23 out of 25 events. In adition to Brussels Listowel, Harriston and Mt. Forest con- stituted the group.
