formed a perfect setting for the golden
wedding reception held Monday after-

latter wearing a • handsome gown of
black and purple shot silk with trim-
mings of old lace, received their hosts
of guests under the trees of their
beautiful• garden and were assisted by
Mrs. Robert 'rinsley, of Chicago. Roy
Tinslev, the eldest grandson of Mr, and
Mrs Tinsley, was also in attendance
looking after thepleasure of the guests

the afternoon and early evening to offer
congratulations and good wishes on
the auspicious occasion` and Mrs'
Tinsley was the recipient of numerous
boquets of roses, lilies and flowers of

called away from elle scenes of this
life on Sunday evening, Atig. 23rd.
She had not enjoyed the best of
health for some years but was about
ns usual,uutii the end came. She had
attended service in the morning, re-
mained to class -meeting and was on
heir wary to evening service when
suddenly stricken with •heart failure
which resulted in her et death a few

was a faithful and earnest member of
the Methodic church testifying on
the last day of her life to her faith in
Jesus Christ, and her desire to do the
will of God, - She was affectionate in
disposition, kind to all with whom
she had to do, a devoted wife and a
thoughtful loving slater. Besides her
