McCracken, o— A •BRIGHTYOUNG LIFE CUT OFF, -There was a pang of sorrow in many a heart last Saturday when the telephone from Ciioton conveyed the sad intelligence that Wilbur S., youngest son of William and Mrs Armstrong, gth con., Grey, had succumbed at the hospital there about it o'c'ock. For a week he had not been feeling as well as usual so on 7Vednesdav a physician was consulted who diagnosed the trouble as ap- pendicitis. The next day Wilbur, ac- companied by his father and mother, was taken to Clinton in an auto and was successfully operated ou, although the appendix had suffered a rupture before arrival. Heart weakness was in evi- dence and this happy faced youth pass- ed away as above slated. II was a sad home coming to the parents (the mother remaining with her sou all the time) but his Father and brother Thomas' did not reach Clinton until the end had come, The remains were brought to the home Saturday night, Wilbur was born in Grey township and was 17 years of age, He was a bright, old fashioned youth and a favorite with everybody. At school he always took a good class standing and intended writing on the Normal Entrance exam. in the course of a few weeks. His early demise is very sincerely lamented and regretted by both old and young. Funeral took place Tuesday afternoon, au appropriate service being conducted, by Rev.
