It was a sleepy lot of citizens who

shrieking of the fire hall whistle.
Those who headed for the blazing
building, for' it was well started, il-
luminating the Southern portion of
the town before the fire alarm sound-
ed, forted it to be one of the buildings
outside of the mein building of the
tannery, owned by the Breithanpt
Leather Co., of Berlin. Some of the
vats were taken out of this building
a couple of weeks ago and a car load
of pltuiks, etc., shipped to Berlin.
