Will. Elliott met with rather a
painful accident on Tuesday last while
chopping in the woods, the axe slipped
and cut 1118 foot on the instep, sliver-
ing the bone. We hope he will soon
be able to be around again.

Last Sabbath was the anniversary of
the Methodist 211nr01 and the services

gift" and in the evening "The first
Christmas Carol" afforded the base for a

will not be forgotten. The choir gave
a good program of Christmas music: and
at the -evening service Miss Hingston
and Miss Alta Pryne contributed well

the anniversary offiering and the pastor
and officials were gladdened to find

in vet. The congregation is to be
commended for the heartiness of their
response as it is a good sign to see
people willing to support a worthy
cause. Monday evening a social gather-
ing was held it. the Sunday School room
and in addition to gramophone selection'

Pryne, and R, A. Pryne and Staley
Wheeler. Rev. Mr. Wren - gave a 40
minute address on "Robeit Burns, the j
bard of Scotland." He had his subject T
well in hand and dre; • numerous in -
interesting lessons from the life of this
well known Scot. At the close of the
fine address stereopticon views were
thrown on the screen depicting the life'
history oh Burns and Other pictures of
interest. E. H. Gilroy managed the
lantern. The auniversary occasion was
one marked with success from start to
finish and the new year will be entered
upon with a most optimistic Outlook.
