MARRIED AT BRANTFORD.-On Labor
Day Miss Maud Querin, only daugh-
ter of Joseph aid Mrs, Querin, of Brus-
sels, was united in marriage to Harry
H. Kirby, of Stratford, in St. James'
Episcopal church, Brantford, by Rev.
D. 11 Cameron, of Burford, recently of
Brussels, assisted by Rev, Chas. Miller.

MRS. Geo. POLLARD DECEASED -
Mottday afterhonn of last week there
passed away at bar home, Tnrnberry
street B,issels, Urania Station, beloved
wife of George Pollard in her 78th year,
Her demise was not a surprise as she
had been ill for the past 5 weeks, the
effects of two strolces of paralysis,
rendering her left Ride helpless. The
ftineral took place Wednesday afternoon
Rev. Mr. Lang -Ford, a former rector,
condocliug the service in St. John's
church, of which deceased had been a
faith'ul member for years, A year ago
Mr. and Mrs Pollard celebrated their
golden wedding when '1 happy reunion
of the members of the family was held.
Mrs. Pollard was born in Cornwall,

Friends of Judge Elliott, junior judge
of the county court, London, will be
glad to know that he has recovered from

buildings daily. He is a brother to

pleted her matriculation this Summer,

They were former residents who went

while performing his duties as brake-
man un a freight train. He was on top
of a car with his lantern signalling the
engineer to back g on a siding. The

stantly killed. 'An inquest was held and
was adjourned until Friday of this week.
