DEATH OF Mns. PirocToa.--The
news of the death of Mrs. Time.
Praetor, in Wingbani hospital 033
Saturday morning of last week was
received here with (lec.!) regret. Mrs.
Proctor was Laken ill ;lust three days
previously and on Friday looming
was removed to 'the hospital, An
operation was deemed necessary but
it was foiled that this would not save
her life and She passed away es above
stated. The deceased who was 61
years of age had spent the greater
part of her life ill this vicinity.
About five years ago she went to'
Palmerston to live but returned here
about six months ago. Since that
time she had made her home with her
daughter, airs. Contemn. Roboason,
She IS Survived by a grown-up family

Garnet, and John Proctor, also In the
West ; Charles, of Durham, and Mrs.
Robertson, of Belgrave. She is also
survived by two brothers and one

Monis ; Lame, of Algoma, and Ales,
Hutchinson, of Toronto. The fancied

September 4111, Eliza McCall, relict
of the late Robert Symonds, passed
away to her reward. She died of
• caticer, at the home of her daughter,
Pittsburg, Penn. and was buried a-
longside her husband in Buffalo, N.
Y., on the 7th .inst, Mr. Symonds
died 15 or 16 years ago. The subjeot
of this notices WaS a sister to George
McCall, 8111 line, who, out of a family
01 8, is the sole survives. He is about
76 years ago. Mrs. Symonds was a
fottner resideut of Morris township,
and Blyth, moving afterward to

Herbert, Grand Valley, Penn.) and 2

Buffalo. Deceased bad been in poor

when first noticed, and if it had not
been for the heavy downpour of rain
early Friday evening, and the
wind being favorable, the entire
village North of the river would have
been swept. A large number turned

fighting saved the blacksmith shop
owned by Frank Scott, which is close
to the hotel sheds. The cause of the
five is unknown, The buildings
