APPENDICITIS. Last' Monday fore-
noon while Gideon Brown, who now
lives in the house on the Platt farm,
5th line Morris, was in town he took ill"
and it became so serious a doctor Was
called wtio pronounced the trouble ap-
peudicitis. Deciding that an operation
was necessary the sick man was taken
in an auto to the hospital at Clinton
where be was treated and we hope he
will soon be as well as ever. Mr.
Brown is not married and is a hard
worker, following ditching and work
akin to it.
JOHN DODDs, the well known "pop
man " of Seaford], passed through town
Monday morning en route to Clifford
and returned in the evening towing a
disabled motor truck behind his truck
taking it to Clinton factory for repairs
Damage was caused by a bolt working 1
loose in tee engine. The owner of the
vehicle was an old friend of Mr. Dodds
and he consequently traversed about
roe miles of King George's highway to
help him out. ' A friend in need is a'
