Co Inepector Elliott, of the Child-
ren's Aid Society, was in town !get Fri-
day. He looks carefully after his work
and succeeds admirably. While not
arbitrary he is insistent on fair play to
boys and girls.
Mrs W. A. Matthews, of Canning -
ton, who was visiting here for several
weeks. left for home on Monday. Her
mother, Mrs, 1. L Kerr, and sister.
Mrs. Turnbull, accompanied her for a
holiday visit of a month.

He has spent the past three years in the
Nest and has a good property. About

Mts. D. McQuarrie, Queen street,

attack of appendicitis but by prompt
measures the threatened diseaso was
fought off and she he now making a
good recovery and will soon be as stniort
as usual we 1Mpe. She is well tip to 70
years of age but has a good constitution.
