MURPHY GETS I2 YEARS IN KING,•row
-The closing chapter to a case of no
small interest to Brussels locality
came to a close at Goderich last
week when Thomas Murphy was Lound

Saturday morning by judge Holt to

High Constable 1Nhitesides have been
working on the cases for the last two
months following the breaking open of
the store ot A. Strachan at Brussels.
Murphy who has already spent 15 years
in prison is a bad egg with a record no
one should rovet. He is well out of
ham's way. McDonald,who was ar-
rested with Murphy ate Windsor, was
granted his liberty. Mr, Strachan
brought a goodly share of the goods
stolen from him home from Goderich
last Saturday when trial was over.
Here's Murphy's pedigree which has
nothing redeeming about 111--3 years
at Kingston, beginning Feb, 3, 1897,
for burglary ; 5 years at Kingston from
2899 for housebreaking and theft ; 3
