Dean AT 84 YEARS oT ACE.- A former well known Brussel to passed away last Monday at Hensall in the person of Hugh McMartin, in his 84th year. He hal been in failing health for several years but was only confined to bed for about three months Mr. McMartin was born near Ottawa and his wife, who survives, was Miss Margaret Mc• Carttey, of Seaforth. Four Sons (Dun can, Hensall ; Robert. Seaforth ; Hugh and Peter, Winnipeg) and four daugh- ters (Mrs. Norton, Trout Creek, Ont. Mrs. Johnston and Mrs. Hambreacht, of Detroit and Mrs. W. Wilton, Brus- sels) constitute the family, All were here for the funeral on Wednesday afternoon excepting the daughters in Detroit, Rev, Mr. Wren, Ethel, con. ducted the service owing to Rev. Dr. Oaten's illness. W. of Huron Oounty, held in Clinton was well at- tended and after discussing the hot?on of the Grand Lodge and the proposed, new scale of rates, it was resolved to recommend the Grand Lodge to ac- cept and adopt the following amend- ment to the Constitution in regard to the question.of assessments.t "From and. after the first day ot May 1013, each and every present member of this Order and every new member shall .without notice, pay to the Financier of the Lodge, monthly assessment of the amount designated opposite the age of the member at the date of admission to theOrde', accord- ing to the Hunter• graded. plan.
